While we sometimes focus on their differences, Protestants and Catholics share much in common. At the core of this common ground is a central tenet of Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body, the belief that we are created in the image of God and called to love as God loves. In February, Christopher West brought this unifying message of Theology of the Body to Skyline Church, a Christian "mega church" located outside San Diego, CA. Over the course of the weekend, more than 3,000 people received the message of Theology of the Body. Pastor Jim Garlow spoke of the "grand realignment" occurring between Protestants and Catholics through Theology of the Body and noted that "what we share together is enormous." The event was a great success and TOB Institute is eager to continue the ecumenical dialogue amongst all Christians through the transformative message of Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body.
